Rebecca Walklett
Bio:
Rebecca Walklett's work is essentially a materials & process based practice, using traditional silversmithing skills to explore of the idea of ‘vessel and containment’ in copper and pewter. For Rebecca, creating is a physical experience where the methodical and rhythmic hammering becomes a conversation between metal, hammer, hand and mind. The influence of her surroundings is translated into the shapes, colours and textures expressed in her work. She uses a variety of techniques to explore these themes, such as raising, press forming, fabrication, etching and patination. https://www.instagram.com/rebecca.walklett123 |
