Teresa Faris
'The consequences for being displaced from what is natural often ends in dis-ease.
Through material and form this work embodies my desire to understand displacement, birthright and the debts we pay with our body and mind in order to survive. References to traditional/cultural jewelry is present and offers a link to my ancestors. What remains as comfort and precious above all else is memory, resilience and connection to earth' |
