Our Mission Statement
Precious has evolved organically since November 2017 into a collective of over 450 makers from around the globe.
What binds Precious members together is their ambiguous relationship to notions of what ‘precious’ is.
Makers who wish to become part of this group either follow this line of thinking or work in ways that challenge traditional jewellery making through materials, techniques or concepts.

What if the majority of the work I show / create is more commercial ?
We understand that many of our members have to make a living from their work or make work that sells more easily than the more 'art jewellery' side of their practice.
If this sounds true for your practice we would still love you to be a member. Precious is a way to be able to get your more
non-commercial / arty creations exhibited and out there for the world to see ....
We may just not promote these more commercial pieces on Instagram but we will definitely show the work you make that fits with our ethos.
Please just make sure that it is this type of work that you apply with as we hate sending 'no' emails
and love promoting that 'more arty / less mainstream' side of you and your work.
